Join A Beachbody Challenge Group!

Beachbody Challenge Groups are the way to go! They are a huge hit and now want to share this with all of you, because I feel like this could be exactly what you need to get you the results you are looking for. There are a few things you will need to do to join a challenge group and it’s very simple!!

What makes Challenge Groups so effective?
I’ve always been a big believer in challenges because it highly motivates people, and I and everyone else taking part of it always tend to commit ourselves even more when we’re a part of one. When you have a small group, communication is much easier, and you’re able to hold each other accountable and push each other even more than being part of a large group. Plus, there is always some serious competition going on, forcing you to push even harder to achieve better results. When you have competition, encouragement, accountability, and support from 5 other people, it literally is a recipe for success! From the challenges I’ve held in the past, it’s unbelievable the type of results that people got, and they even mentioned to me that there was NO WAY they could have gotten those results without being part of an exclusive group. If you want to achieve your fitness goals, you’re not going to find a better way than with these challenge groups!

Why Join A Challenge Group?
Accountability for one! You will be placed in a group of 5 or so people all doing the same challenge as you! You can either ask 1-4 friends or family to join the group with you or I can put you in a group with other people.

Daily Support and motivation from me and your group members.
I will make up a Private facebook group just for your group where we can post comments, get motivated and hold each other accountable on a daily bases! Being on a team makes things so much easier!

It’s Win Win!!
You will NOT come out a loser in this challenge! If you do it right and follow the rules, you have nothing to lose but weight!

How do you join a Challenge Group?
1) Make me your Free Beachbody Coach!
This is very simple to do just click this link make me your coach. As your coach I will be here for support, motivation, and to answer any questions you have with the program, diet, etc.

2) Let me know you want to be added to a Challenge group.
Gather a few (1-4) family and friends to join you in this challenge or I can add you to a group with other people.

3) Choose a Beachbody program and commit to Shakeology HD
P90X, TurboFire, INSANITY, Power 90, Hip Hop Abs, 10 Minute Trainer, Body Gospel, Slim in Six, etc… There are so many options to choose from and more to come!

What do you do once you are added to a group?
Post your goals to show everyone what you want to do during this challenge. You will also need to post everyday that you’ve done your workout, replaced one meal with Shakeology, and that you followed the nutrition part of the program as well. It’s a simple and fun way to get the results you want! I also want to add in that you are going to want to take Day 1 pictures and then take pictures every 15 days after that to show what kind of progress you have gotten thus far. Great way to see results!! Friendly competition is alright as well. Setting up a challenge to see who can get the best results would be fun and keep you motivated.

Next thing you may be thinking to yourself is…. Are there any prizes in it for me? Well of course there is! Beachbody has a daily prize of $500.00, a monthly prize of $1,000.00 (which I WON in August 2011) and even a quarterly winner with a prize of $5,000.00! Alcohol & Fitness

Can you drink alcohol and still get great results while working out?
Answer is Yes and No, it all depends on how much you like to drink, lol.
Your body burns fat in two places it burns fat in your liver and your muscle tissue. Basically what happens without getting to technical is alcohol stops the function of the liver from metabolizing the fat. Because alcohol is considered a toxin to your body your body will do whatever it can to get that toxin out of your body. It usually takes about one hour for your body to metabolize one drink (8-12oz). But it also depends on what you are drinking, beer or hard liquor it could take longer or shorter.
What happens now you’ve consumed alcohol? Why are people gaining weight from drinking alcoholic beverages? Is it the calorie content? Is it the carbohydrates? NO those are marketing tools to get you to buy different types of alcohol. It doesn’t matter if it has (X) amount of calories and (X) amount of carbohydrates it is still a toxin to your body and it is still stopping the functioning of your liver and your body is not able to metabolize any fat in your body as it now has to go after the alcohol and get it out of your system.
If you’re going to have to drink when you go out you need to understand when you have food in your body or you just ate a meal or you are eating a meal and you start consuming alcohol understand that your body is not going to metabolize the food in your stomach, it’s going to go after the alcohol first. So what happens is food that gets left in your body for over a 24 hour period because you consumed a lot of alcohol that food is going to now be stored as fat because your body couldn’t break it down. That is why people put on weight when they drink. It’s not the actual alcohol that is making them gain weight it’s the fact that you’re eating all this food and consuming alcohol and your body can’t digest the food so it stores it and packs it on as fat.
If you go out to have a good time and you drink and eat food be cautious of what you are doing if you know you like to snack when you drink and eat a lot don’t snack as much, if you know you’re going to go out and get intoxicated don’t eat a huge meal before you go do that. Why? because it is just going to sit there all night until it is stored as fat. So be careful when you go out to drink have a great time by any means I’m not saying don’t drink alcohol, I myself enjoy a nice glass of wine or bottle of beer every once in a while. It’s ok to go out and enjoy yourself just remember that if your trying to lose weight but you like beer you now know to monitor what you’re eating around your drinking and you should still be able to hit your goals. You would get to your goals a lot faster if you weren’t drinking the alcohol but its another one of those choices we all have, lol. Now that you know not to have that beer after you had your dinner things will hopefully make more sense.  – Scott Herman
Take care everybody and BRING IT!
